Proyas Bengali Cultural Association (PBCA) is an ensemble of like minded Bangaloreans interested and motivated to practice the rich cultural heritage of the Bengalis. Like many other Bengali associations, we also, got united to have Durga Puja in a community which we consider as our extended family. Being in the software capital of India, our new beginning resulted from a fork which became inevitable following the rigidity and whims of some of the maintainers of our old branch during Covid19 years. One can easily find many of us in different Internet spaces like YouTube, Flickr etc. as closely associated with our previous organized form which could not stand the test of time and resulted into a fork. A society remains vibrant and colorful till all of it’s constituents are equally honored. We would like to keep PBCA that way, which in Tagore’s word – “্্আমরা সবাই রাজা আমাদের এই রাজার রাজতেব”. Our association is registered now under societies registration act. In days to come this site will act as a place to record different events of this community.
